As a published author whose books have been read and shared in several countries, the greatest story I've ever told is still the one of how God's love and plans for our lives far exceed anything we could ever dream or plan for ourselves.

My story begins a bit differently than most authors.

I didn't grow up dreaming of writing books. After earning a degree in marketing, I enjoyed a career in corporate sales where God taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, relationships, and serving others. Yet, deep within my heart, He was quietly preparing me for something I never could have imagined.

Through a series of God-orchestrated events and gentle nudges along the way, the Lord invited me to reclaim a dream that had long been buried. Looking back now, I can clearly see that He wasn't simply changing the direction of my life—He was transforming my heart.

God awakened my heart and I began earnestly seeking the Lord praying, "Lord, please use me more. I want to make an eternal difference in this world for Your Kingdom. Please show me how to be an extension of Your hands, Your feet, and Your voice." I remember praying to Him from the depths of my heart, "All I know how to do is sell things, and I'm athletic. I'm not creative."

Then, in one unexpected, life-changing moment, God softly reminded me of His nudge years earlier, to write a children's book about our family pony, Sugarman. God wasn't simply giving me an idea for a book. He was inviting me into the story He had been writing for my life all along. And I stepped out in faith into the unknown world of writing books and more trusting God to faithfully led me every step of the way.

That dream eventually became The Adventures of Sugarman the Pony, a children's series inspired by my love for horses and my desire to help children discover biblical character, kindness, and God's love through memorable stories. Seeing children and families embrace those lessons continues to be one of the greatest joys of my life.

Soon thereafter, another transformation began quietly during my early morning time with the Lord.

As I spent time reading Scripture, praying, journaling, and listening for God's voice through His Word, I had no idea those private journal entries would one day become Whispers from His Heart. What began as personal conversations with God has grown into an expanded devotional experience featuring heartfelt Whispers devotions, a 12-lesson companion study, teaching videos, worship music, and resources designed to help others know God more deeply, strengthen their faith, and experience His transforming love.

Like many people, my journey has included unexpected disappointments, seasons of loss, and moments when life didn't unfold the way I had hoped. Yet those very seasons became some of God's greatest classrooms. He has faithfully healed, restored, strengthened, and transformed my life, teaching me that His love is constant, His promises are true, and His presence is enough for every season.

What once felt like setbacks and disappointments became steppingstones into greater chapters of the story God was writing in my life. Time and again, He has shown me that His plans are always greater than my own.

Today, whether I'm writing, speaking, teaching, or writing songs, my desire is always the same—to invite people into a deeper relationship with Jesus. My passion is to help others know God more deeply, discover who they are in Christ, and experience the hope, peace, purpose, and joy that come from trusting His faithfulness.

I believe there are buried treasures beneath forgotten dreams, broken hearts, and seasons of waiting. In God's hands, those places often become the beginning of something beautiful. I encourage you to let God unwrap the gifts, talents, and abilities He designed only for you.

Believe that.
